I cannot open Microsoft Office files from the Internet with the 2010 version?
I have Windows 7 and I installed Microsoft Office 2010 on my computer (word, powerpoint, excel, etc.). When I click on a hyperlink on the Internet to open a Powerpoint document or a Word document that is in an older version (2007 or 2003 for example), the box asks me “do you want to save this file or find a program online to open it?”, but there are no options for “open”….
However, if I choose the option to save the document, only then I can open the document… I would like to be able to open these files directly as I could do before with the older versions of Microsoft Office… Now my only choice is to save these documents from the Internet and I have to think about deleting them afterwards which is very annoying.
I am using Internet Explorer 8.
Thanks a lot!
