For some people who use the Internet, speed is everything. For online competitive gamers, it can mean the difference between victory and defeat in close spit second calls. For business people, it means lightning fast uploads and downloads that don’t leave a person wasting their time sitting in front of a computer. For the Internet shopper, more speed means faster jaunts from site to site in search of the absolute best deals online.
More Options for Increased Speed
What many people don’t know however, is that they now have more tools at their disposal then ever before to bring them more speed for their computer while on the Internet. This means that Internet users that still use a standard dial up service don’t have to change their service provider to kick it up a notch with regards to speed. It also means that Internet users that have the latest broadband high speed service can take it even further with new speed upgrade tools and technology.
A New Comprehensive Internet Speed Test
There are now online services that specialize in helping Internet uses get the maximum amount of speed possible form their Internet service and the first step that they offer is an Internet speed test. Unlike older Internet speed tests that only determined the speed of downloads, these new tests make a total determination, by testing the speed of uploads and downloads combined.
After your actual Internet speed is determined by this test, you will then have to decide from the various options that are available to boost your Internet speed. Then after the software is installed and the necessary adjustments are made, you will then undergo another Internet speed test to see how much of a difference has been made. The great thing about all of this new technology that is now available, is that you now can effect the amount of Internet speed that you have to operate your computer with.

I downloaded the new Internet Explorer 8 a couple of days ago. There is always some trepidation on my part when adding one of Microsoft’s big upgrades. This went well except for a small glitch. I thought I would pass this information along in the hopes it will ease some worries.
Internet Explorer 8 Download System Requirements. Windows Vista or Windows XP with Service Pack 2 and 512 MB of memory.
Internet Explorer 8 Download Precautions. Do backups and set a system restore point. Click Start. Click All Programs. Select Accessories. Then select System Tools. Then select System Restore. Follow the directions.
In the release notes for Internet Explorer 8 there have been a few problems brought on by wrong settings in IE 7. If these settings are incorrect Internet Explorer 8 will close as soon as you start it. So, if you have changed your Internet settings in IE 7 you may want to reset them before you install Internet Explorer 8. Otherwise you may have to uninstall Internet Explorer 8, reset the settings in IE 7 and reinstall Internet Explorer 8.
Internet Explorer 8 Download: My Experience. My experience downloading Internet Explorer 8 went smoothly, for the most part.
There was a small glitch which I will get to in a moment. I went to the page for Internet Explorer 8 Download Microsoft, hit the big download button and waited.
A moment later a new window appeared.by explore
Microsoft has always been one among the global software giants, which continue to suffer with security loopholes in their products. Talking about internet explorer, different versions of IE used to have plenty of security loopholes, but in recent times Microsoft has come up with a few latest versions that offer enhanced security compared to the formers.
Weather it is IE, Safari, Mozilla Firefox, or Chrome etc., no browser is completely secured and resistant to malware infections. However, Microsoft has been moderately improving its browser security for quite some time now. Some of the features being embedded in browser security include Internet Explorer running in a low privilege protected mode; web page scanning for malware and phishing attacks; checking on the downloads that are being performed, whether it is known programs; using Address Space Layout Randomization so that malicious software codes do not switch areas of memory and run the infections. Although that is nice on the part of association with the third-party developers whose security Microsoft is concerned about, but what about the end users who cannot pressurize developers to fix their codes?
It is not that Microsoft is shy giving out details of the loopholes in its products but it tends to loose on the side of politeness when partners are not measuring up; It took so long for Microsoft to name Yahoo as the third-party company running up data usage on Windows 7 Phones, Microsoft never named and will never name the device drivers that caused 80% crashes in Windows Vista Operating System or Microsoft never named the Internet Explorer plug-in that is number one cause of major Windows and IE crashes.
Microsoft has came up with a great change that should be appreciated and welcomed, the choose add-ons dialog box that pops up in Internet Explorer soon after one installs a add-ons in IE9; it elaborates on the details that add-ons can slow down opening new tabs to such an extent that the whole browser feels slow conveying content that Skype adds 0.14 seconds and Java adds 0.13 seconds and the Microsoft ‘search helper’ adds 0.09 seconds means you actually know who is to blame.
With the IE 9 Release Candidate available and being used by some of the tech professionals, it is being reviewed that IE does badly in terms of security; It would be more interesting if the fellow readers getting along with the article can provide more of their feedback and statistics after the release of IE which is being slated for launch on 14th March 2011.
