With regard to the ever growing Internet, only the surface of the massive information reservoir of the Web is being reached by even the most sophisticated search engines as mentioned in a recent study. The Web is being presented by search engines such as AltaVista, Yahoo, and Google dot com but according to a 41 page research paper from a South Dakota company responsible for developing a new Internet software it is 500 times bigger.
Hidden information coves like these have been making it difficult for most people to easily obtain the information they are in need of. You could say that search engines are pretty much similar to the weather for there are countless people complaining about them. It is the invisible Web which has been linked for so long to the uncharted territory of the Internet’s World Wide Web sector.
The deep Web is how one Sioux Falls start up company describes the terrain so as not to have it mistaken for the surface information gathered by the Internet search engines. Today, there no longer is an invisible Web. This is what the general manager of the company considers to be the cool aspect of what they are doing. These underutilized outposts of cyberspace actually come to represent a substantial part of the Internet as researchers mentioned but there has not been anyone that extensively explored the back roads of the Web like this new company.
According to a newly deployed software developed in the past six months there are 550 billion documents stored on the Web. When it comes to Internet search engines they can collectively index about one billion pages. Able to index around 54,000 pages during mid 1994 was one of the first Web engines called lycos. Not being able to adjust and index more pages are search engines which have come a long way since 1994 and this is because government agencies, universities, and corporations are increasing the size of databases.
There is a dependence on technology that is able to identify static pages for search engines rather than one which focuses on dynamic information stored in databases. Search engines will guide users to a home site that houses a huge database but they will have to make more queries for additional information.
A software known as lexibot is what the company considers to be the solution they developed. All there is to it is a single search request and then the technology will gather information from Internet databases after it searches the various pages indexed by traditional search engines. The software isn’t for everyone, though, executives concede. When the 30 day free trial period lapses, this particular software will cost $89. The case with the lexibot is that it is not any faster than usual. When it comes to typical searches, expect that it will take 10 to 25 minutes to complete but more complex searches can take as much as 90 minutes.
Grandma should think again if she plans on using this to find chocolate chip cookie or carrot cake recipes through the Internet. Lexibot is meant for the usage of the academic and scientific circles according to the privately held company. According to some Internet veterans, the research coming from the company is interesting but the software might become too overwhelming.
Specialized search engines will work well for the World Wide Web for it is getting bigger and bigger. Even if a centralized approach is used in this situation, success will be rather minimal. Considered to be the company’s greatest challenge is being able to show businesses and individuals what they have been able to discover.

Why do I need Internet Explorer 7 for the yahoo toolbar, if I have INTERNET Explorer 8?
I had trouble with Internet Explorer (version 8) and was advised by a Microsoft technician to install IE8 beta version 2 – that fixed my problem.
Now, however, when I try to open Yahoo!, I get a message from Yahoo! toolbar to install Internet Explorer 6 or 7. Why?
And can anyone help me get rid of the message?
This is a problem with IE 8 Beta and the Yahoo! Toolbar. If you’re running IE 8 Beta, you need to configure it to access yahoo.com in compatibility mode.
The link supplied below tells how to do that.

HELP!!! browser trojan datecom/tabwelcome_en.html?
datecom/tabwelcome_en.html appears as the default URL whenever I open a new tab on Internet Explorer 8. The malware causing this cannot be detected, located and fixed by basic, commonsensical or obvious means. I’ve ran all the freeware for detecting trojans that can be downloaded on CNET. I’ve manually searched my computer’s local and roaming application folders, add-in folders, and program folders — unhiding all hidden folders and files. It is nowhere to be found.
1) use malwarebytes to clean the system
2) use CCleaner
3) right click on the C:/ , properties, Tools (tab), Check disk ( both chek box) , restart
4) Install Microsoft security essential and Comodo internet security

The Internet has become an important tool in our everyday lives. Surfing the Web has become second nature for our children. In the same way we put boundaries for our children in the real world, we should also do so in the virtual world. There are different types of Internet parental control software that were created to enable parents to manage and control their children Internet use. It is important for parents to understand that no matter how efficient the software is, it can not replace educational efforts and open communication in the family. Internet parental control software can be efficient when it is combined with parental guidance for safe Web surfing and Web ethics.
If you decide to use a parental control software you can start with Content Advisor which is a basic tool included free in Windows for IE6 or later versions.
The Content Advisor is now active.
Be aware that the content restrictions exist only in Internet Explorer browsers. If you have another Internet browser, such as, FireFox or Google Chrome, installed on your computer your child will be able to surf using these browsers without limitations.
Internet savvy kids may install alternative browsers on their PC once they discover you have limited their surfing options. To prevent such actions create an additional user on the child’s PC with limited permissions – no permissions to install new programs on the PC.
Make sure you only have Internet Explorer installed on the PC and give your child access only to this limited user.
Remember that whatever you do there are children who are smart enough to overcome it if they really want to. Invest time in education and guidance for safe Web surfing and Web ethics. Remind your children what are the threats that exist on the web. Teach them how to protect themselves.

I won’t be as idiotic as “Jake’s” answer is, but it really isn’t worth much. I could pick up a similar computer from my local thrift store for about $30 (US). The software may be worth something, but only if you include the original disks.
