There are some intriguing features in Internet Explorer 8. It is a bit faster than Internet Explorer 7. He had much more to protect yourself against the bad guys on the Web and more easily find what you’re looking for, and how quickly the use of this information once you traced.
There are many important characteristics:
Smart Location Bar:
The address bar of Firefox 3 is so good, it is nicknamed the Awesome Bar. As you type, it searches a database containing the history of your bookmarks and comes and suggestions, based both on the web address and title of the site. It is my favorite feature in Firefox, and now there is a similar implementation in Internet Explorer 8. Microsoft calls this the “smart location bar,” and added RSS feeds and search suggestions for all. It also fixes a problem in version of Firefox, because it sorts the results according to their source. This makes it much easier to spot the result you want.
I have mixed feelings about this feature, which reminds me of the lame “Smart Tags” from Internet Explorer. In this case, when you select the text, an icon appears. Click it, and you can map a location, define a word, translate a foreign language, the selected text blog and more. This method uses a set of Web services that, by default, are provided by Microsoft. For example, the default mapping service is Windows Live Maps, but you can change it to Google or Yahoo, if you prefer. This saves a few clicks, but the same can be accomplished with good marks.
This concept is similar to Web Clips feature in the Mac version of Safari, but not as useful. There you can select an area on a Web page and simply turn that section into a Dashboard widget available from the Mac. In this you can put content on a page and it will appear as detailed in Internet Explorer 8 “search suggestions s. But there is a contrast of size: The website operator must include the code on its pages to use this feature. If your favorite sites do not, it is useless to you.
In Private Browsing:
Nicknamed “porn mode,” incognito lets you surf the Web without generating a history of your searches or visited pages. There is also a feature called In Private blockage that can block content on a site that is derived from another. But blocking does not begin until the third party site content distribution with a sufficiently high frequency. You can customize it to always allow some sites to deliver content, and always block the other. Both in personal navigation and bottlenecks are disabled by default. Whatever you close your browser, it is the standard behavior.
Firefox has long had the ability to restore pages that were loaded when it crashes. In Internet Explorer 7, the browser restarts after a crash, but only displays the homepage. Now, Internet Explorer 8 restores all open pages – but chances are it will not be necessary. This is because if an accident is caused by the content of a site, it does close the page, not the whole browser.
Microsoft has improved Windows security Internet Explorers “filter to also detect sites that might distribute security. The Smart Screen Filter will alert you if the site you are about to visit is suspect. I usually disable filter Internet Explorers security “because it seems to slow browsing, but the Smart Screen Filter seems much faster. In fact, I did not know he was still in operation and until I went to check its parameters. There’s also new support to detect and block attacks Cross Site Scripting, a common method to exploit browser vulnerabilities.
As with both Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer 7, a search box is integrated into Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 that lets you choose from multiple search engines. You are now able to switch between engines quickly, which made the jump from a search on eBay to one on Amazon much faster. Searches here also include sites from your history and favorites, like the Smart Location Bar. In addition, downloading a plug-in search engines to allow participants suggested visual search, including images, charts and maps.

Is it safe to uninstall internet explorer 7 even if I get this error message??
“The following programs were installed on your computer after internet explorer 7″ There is a whole long list of programs then it says “If these programs depend on internet explorer 7 they might not work properly after it removed, Do you wish to continue?” Is it safe to remove internet explorer?? I am planning on still using internet explorer but just using internet explorer 6 insted of 7!! Thanks!!
It is safe to uninstall but if any of the listed programs are used when your on the internet they may not work.
It all depends on what the programs are that were installed after you installed IE7. But I think going back to IE6 is a safe bet, better system than 7.

Google Toolbar enables you to quickly search for news, images, videos and more without pointing to the Google website each time. If you are not interested it any more, you can uninstall it from your Internet Explorer easily with steps below.

2. Scroll through the list to select Google Toolbar, then click on “Remove/Uninstall” to remove the toolbar. Restart your web browser as requested.
3. Also, you can uninstall the Toolbar by clicking the wrench icon on the Google Toolbar icon on your IE web browser. Scroll down the pop-up menu to select “Uninstall” to remove it from your computer. After a request of browser restart as promoted, it will be fully removed from your computer.
But what to do when you fail to uninstall Google Toolbar with the above steps? It you want to uninstall the toolbar and unneeded programs quickest, easiest, it is highly recommended to use an uninstaller software. That is it will cost you a lot of time and it will left down some unneeded folders or registry entries if delete it manually. If you have deleted a wrong file then you can seriously damage your computer.
Why don’t you take a look at Perfect Uninstaller? It will fully scan your computer and then uninstall Google Toolbar from your computer faster and easier than Windows Add/Remove Programs!

THINGS YOU DIDNT KNEW ABOUT XP
to further explore your pc and laptop please visit http://abhaybali.hpage.com
1. It boasts how long it can stay up. Whereas previous versions of Windows were coy about how long they went between boots, XP is positively proud of its stamina. Go to the Command Prompt in the Accessories menu from the All Programs start button option, and then type ‘systeminfo’. The computer will produce a lot of useful info, including the uptime. If you want to keep these, type ‘systeminfo > info.txt’. This creates a file called info.txt you can look at later with Notepad. (Professional Edition only).
2. You can delete files immediately, without having them move to the Recycle Bin first. Go to the Start menu, select Run… and type ‘gpedit.msc’; then select User Configuration, Administrative Templates, Windows Components, Windows Explorer and find the Do not move deleted files to the Recycle Bin setting. Set it. Poking around in gpedit will reveal a great many interface and system options, but take care — some may stop your computer behaving as you wish. (Professional Edition only).
3. You can lock your XP workstation with two clicks of the mouse. Create a new shortcut on your desktop using a right mouse click, and enter ‘rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation’ in the location field. Give the shortcut a name you like. That’s it — just double click on it and your computer will be locked. And if that’s not easy enough, Windows key + L will do the same.
4. XP hides some system software you might want to remove, such as Windows Messenger, but you can tickle it and make it disgorge everything. Using Notepad or Edit, edit the text file /windows/inf/sysoc.inf, search for the word ‘hide’ and remove it. You can then go to the Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel, select Add/Remove Windows Components and there will be your prey, exposed and vulnerable.
5. For those skilled in the art of DOS batch files, XP has a number of interesting new commands. These include ‘eventcreate’ and ‘eventtriggers’ for creating and watching system events, ‘typeperf’ for monitoring performance of various subsystems, and ‘schtasks’ for handling scheduled tasks. As usual, typing the command name followed by /? will give a list of options — they’re all far too baroque to go into here.
6. XP has IP version 6 support — the next generation of IP. Unfortunately this is more than your ISP has, so you can only experiment with this on your LAN. Type ‘ipv6 install’ into Run… (it’s OK, it won’t ruin your existing network setup) and then ‘ipv6 /?’ at the command line to find out more. If you don’t know what IPv6 is, don’t worry and don’t bother.
7. You can at last get rid of tasks on the computer from the command line by using ‘taskkill /pid’ and the task number, or just ‘tskill’ and the process number. Find that out by typing ‘tasklist’, which will also tell you a lot about what’s going on in your system.
8. XP will treat Zip files like folders, which is nice if you’ve got a fast machine. On slower machines, you can make XP leave zip files well alone by typing ‘regsvr32 /u zipfldr.dll’ at the command line. If you change your mind later, you can put things back as they were by typing ‘regsvr32 zipfldr.dll’.
9. XP has ClearType — Microsoft’s anti-aliasing font display technology — but doesn’t have it enabled by default. It’s well worth trying, especially if you were there for DOS and all those years of staring at a screen have given you the eyes of an astigmatic bat. To enable ClearType, right click on the desktop, select Properties, Appearance, Effects, select ClearType from the second drop-down menu and enable the selection. Expect best results on laptop displays. If you want to use ClearType on the Welcome login screen as well, set the registry entry HKEY_USERS/.DEFAULT/Control Panel/Desktop/FontSmoothingType to 2.
10. You can use Remote Assistance to help a friend who’s using network address translation (NAT) on a home network, but not automatically. Get your pal to email you a Remote Assistance invitation and edit the file. Under the RCTICKET attribute will be a NAT IP address, like 192.168.1.10. Replace this with your chum’s real IP address — they can find this out by going to www.whatismyip.com — and get them to make sure that they’ve got port 3389 open on their firewall and forwarded to the errant computer.
11. You can run a program as a different user without logging out and back in again. Right click the icon, select Run As… and enter the user name and password you want to use. This only applies for that run. The trick is particularly useful if you need to have administrative permissions to install a program, which many require. Note that you can have some fun by running programs multiple times on the same system as different users, but this can have unforeseen effects.
12. Windows XP can be very insistent about you checking for auto updates, registering a Passport, using Windows Messenger and so on. After a while, the nagging goes away, but if you feel you might slip the bonds of sanity before that point, run Regedit, go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version/Explorer/Advanced and create a DWORD value called EnableBalloonTips with a value of 0.
13. You can start up without needing to enter a user name or password. Select Run… from the start menu and type ‘control userpasswords2′, which will open the user accounts application. On the Users tab, clear the box for Users Must Enter A User Name And Password To Use This Computer, and click on OK. An Automatically Log On dialog box will appear; enter the user name and password for the account you want to use.
14. Internet Explorer 6 will automatically delete temporary files, but only if you tell it to. Start the browser, select Tools / Internet Options… and Advanced, go down to the Security area and check the box to Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed.
15. XP comes with a free Network Activity Light, just in case you can’t see the LEDs twinkle on your network card. Right click on My Network Places on the desktop, then select Properties. Right click on the description for your LAN or dial-up connection, select Properties, then check the Show icon in notification area when connected box. You’ll now see a tiny network icon on the right of your task bar that glimmers nicely during network traffic.
16. The Start Menu can be leisurely when it decides to appear, but you can speed things along by changing the registry entry HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Control Panel/Desktop/MenuShowDelay from the default 400 to something a little snappier. Like 0.
17. You can rename loads of files at once in Windows Explorer. Highlight a set of files in a window, then right click on one and rename it. All the other files will be renamed to that name, with individual numbers in brackets to distinguish them. Also, in a folder you can arrange icons in alphabetised groups by View, Arrange Icon By… Show In Groups.
18. Windows Media Player will display the cover art for albums as it plays the tracks — if it found the picture on the Internet when you copied the tracks from the CD. If it didn’t, or if you have lots of pre-WMP music files, you can put your own copy of the cover art in the same directory as the tracks. Just call it folder.jpg and Windows Media Player will pick it up and display it.
19. Windows key + Break brings up the System Properties dialogue box; Windows key + D brings up the desktop; Windows key + Tab moves through the taskbar buttons.

Internet explorer 8 loads slowly or shows broken websites?
Tried the reg command in CMD.
Tried a flushDNS.
Tried forced compat view with IE 7.
Tried Malware byte’s scan.
Tried looking at the proxies, nothing enabled.
Tried IE 8 without any add ons, still slow.
On another user, it isn’t slow at all.
This is with all websites, What is causing this issue?
Hi this is Feran with the IE Outreach Team. You should uninstall IE8 (this reverts you to IE7) – then you can try reinstalling IE8 again. Sometimes doing an uninstall/reinstall fixes any issues people were having in IE8. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/support/faq.aspx
Hope this helps!

If you have failed to uninstall Internet Explorer 9 for several times already, try reading the guide below because this time you will surely get it correctly.
Whenever you install Internet Explorer 9 Beta browser, it will surely replace the lower version which is the Internet Exlporer 8. This happens because these two browsers cannot run simultaneously or at the same time. Although, Internet Explorer 9 comes along with lots of advantages such as- speed, neat design, and a more standard support you may still have reasons with you that may push you to decide on retaining the Internet Explorer 8 as your browser. The following are just few of the possible reasons:
Internet Explorer 9 is not like the IE9 Platform Preview which can run simultaneously with a previous version; it is because it is installed as a Windows Update, instead of a separate application. Eventually, it won’t be directly visible in the Control Panel’s Program/Programs and Features list, unless you click the “view installed updates” link which is found at the top of the Control Panel.
Find the Internet Explorer 9 update by typing “Explorer” (note: quotations are not included) in the Control Panel’s search bar located at the top right, and the Internet Explorer update will surely appear as the only searched item. After that, double click it and you have to confirm the uninstalling process in the dialogue box that will appear. You no longer need to download and install again the Internet Explorer 8 because it will automatically reappear as you Internet Explorer version.
If you are having Windows 7 or Vista as Operating system, the process is still the same. However, on the later part of the process, you will see entries for both Internet Explorer8 and Internet Explorer 9 in the list in Programs and Features.
